Walter Terrence Plummer
Director
Mr. Plummer was the coordinator and sponsor of the RMS-Ross Placer Gold Mining Seminars for 10 years between 1981 - 91. This was an international event dedicated to the presentation of state of the art machinery, concepts, and environmental considerations to individuals involved in alluvial, elluvial and hardrock gravity recovery systems. In 1982, Mr. Plummer formed RMS-Ross Corporation, a company specializing in the development and manufacture of gravity concentration equipment for the gold and heavy mineral mining industries. Some of the products that are well known are the Derocker (a patented self feeding, self cleaning grizzley), Ross Box (patented tri channel sluice system), and high efficiency Circular Jigs. RMS has also forged strategic alliances with Falcon concentrators Inc., (the developers of the largest and only continuous discharge centrifuge in the world) to manufacture key components of the various models of the Falcon models. RMS has the broadest line of material preparation and gravity concentration machinery in the marketplace. Other new products are being developed continuously.
Since 1970, Mr. Plummer has visited or consulted on over 200 alluvial and eluvial operations around the world, and has developed a keen sense for what equipment is necessary for efficient operations in different mining situations. Well designed equipment is necessary in the initial stages of material handling and preparation to effect liberation of the gold particles. Then, effective gravity gold recovery is dependent upon selecting the appropriate recovery system for each of the various gold screen sizes. There is no panacea in the gold recovery industry, and Mr. Plummer's expertise is in the proper selection, design and assembly of successful gold recovery systems.
